Gymnastics, like any sport, is one that requires physical training in order to perform and improve skills. A gymnast must physically be strong and flexible. One also must be powerful and have good speed and endurance. Balance and agility is essential for a good performance by a gymnast. Balance requires much physical and emotional training and takes alot of time to improve. It is so important because every skill a gymnast performes involves balance, even if its not holding a position for a long time. Muscle memory for a gymnast is when they are able to balance without thinking or trying. It will eventually come natural and simple.
